It all started when a vehicle carrying two robbery suspects, accused of stealing a chainsaw from a Royal King location, were pulled over by a state trooper in Mt Pleasant Township, Washington County on May 21.

It ended with that trooper shooting the passenger, 25-year-old Dennis Fo Noi Mo ana, five times.

This morning Washington County District Attorney Jason Walsh announced the shooting was justified, and that no criminal charges will be filed, as an investigation revealed the victim would not drop a weapon that was in his hands.

“The investigation unequivocally shows that the trooper had reason to believe his life was in danger, or that he’d be seriously injured, and that deadly force was necessary.”

Walsh said the gun the victim had in his possession was stolen.
