With help from a federal mediator, ABC Transit and Teamsters Local 249 worked out a tentative contract early today, avoiding a bus driver's strike in the North Hills School District.
And there's bus service today for around 4600 North Hills students.
On Monday, the bus drivers voted to reject a contract offer and to authorize a strike that would have started today.
