Today is an off day in the synagogue shooting trial.

Yesterday, a nationally known psychiatrist testified the convicted gunman is not mentally ill, but does have a personality disorder.

Dr. Park Dietz, the government’s key rebuttal witness, told the court he does not believe Robert Bowers has delusions, a key symptom of schizophrenia. The defense has called witnesses who say Bowers has schizophrenia, epilepsy and other brain dysfunction.

The Tribune-Review reports Dietz, who interviewed Bowers for about 15 hours, returns to answer questions from the defense on Monday.
