Some have said they're not interested in living until they're 100, until they turn 99. A Pennsylvania woman is well past that milestone.
Naomi Whitehead who lives in a senior care center in Greenville West Salem in Mercer County is now believed to be the oldest living person in North America, at 114.
Whitehead was born in September of 1910 on a farm in Georgia.
She has outlived her longtime husband and her three sons.
She credits her longevity to good genes and enjoyable hobbies like cooking, baking, drawing and listening to great music.
It probably didn't hurt that Naomi never smoked or drank alcohol.
She tells the New castle News that she hasn't set any goals for how long she'd like to live but said she will live “as long as the Lord lets me.”
