Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS were called to the 6900 block of McPherson Boulevard in Point Breeze for reports of a fire.
The call came in overnight and crews extinguished the flames around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.
When responders arrived they saw heavy smoke coming from the upper level of an abandoned home.
Firefighters were able to make entry to the building to put out the fire and smoke with no injuries reported.
Investigators determined that arson can be ruled as the cause of the fire.
