The longtime honor of a Pittsburgh-area favorite hot dog chain is going upscale.

Frank Papa, of Beaver County, is getting ready to Open Frank G's place.

The location, at 500 Market Street in Bridgewater, is expected to open in the next couple weeks.

Papa is the owner of Brighton Hot Dog Shoppes, the famous hot dog restaurant that has expanded across southwestern Pennsylvania.

While the hot dogs are great, Frank G's isn't that kind of restaurant.

The menu features appetizers like Parmesan Truffle Fries and main courses like braised short ribs, seared salmon, lemon rosemary roasted chicken and more.

Papa says he has lived in Beaver County for his entire life, except for two years in the military and is excited about the restaurant and its location.

"I have always admired this specific location overlooking the Beaver River as it is just as beautiful as it is peaceful," Papa said on Frank G's website.
