A Mother's Day present came a little early for a mom in Westmoreland County.
32-year-old Beth Dudley, a mother of two, walked into a convenience store in Salem Township stressed about a flat tire.
She decided to treat herself to a lottery ticket at the Crabtree Gas & Go Sunoco station on Roosevelt Way in Salem Township, and now she may get a whole new car instead of replacing the flat tire because she is a $1 million richer.
“That’s when I decided to also buy a Lottery ticket. I thought, ‘What’s it going to hurt?’ I play occasionally,” said Dudley. “Before I won, my brother said, ‘You’re going to get the tire changed and your whole world will turn around.’”
PA Secretary of Revenue Pat Browne said it was nice to see a hardworking mom who juggles so much have some luck come her way.
Dudley says she just started crying when she saw she won playing the “WIN WIN WIN” game. On Friday she was presented with a check at gas station.
The gas station will get a nice check for selling the winning ticket.
Dudley adds she called her mom first because her parents both play the Lottery.
Winners should sign the back of the winning ticket immediately and contact the Lottery at 1-800692-7481 to begin the claiming process.
Winners have one year from the game’s end drawing date to claim their prize.
