As an advisory panel is expected to recommend emergency use of use of Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine to the FDA Thursday, Health and Human Services Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Paul Mango praised operation Warp Speed on the KDKA Radio Morning Show.
"We are literally a day or two away from the most monumental medical discovery and manufacturing achievement in history," he said.
Mango says vaccinations in Pennsylvania could begin as early as Monday, and cost will not be a barrier.
"No American will have to pay a single penny out of his or her pocket to get vaccinated."
All co-pays and deductibles have been waived, and no insurance company will charge for a vaccine. Anyone Uninsured qualifies for the Provider Relief Fund which will reimburse the administer of the vaccine.
