
The upper floor of a two-story building on Pittsburgh's south side collapsed during storms Thursday night.
Moments after a man walks past the building with his dog, the upper floor collapsed, sending bricks and debris toppling down on the street below.

It happened around 8 p.m. in the 1600 block of East Carson Street, between South 16th and South 17th streets.
Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said no one was on the second floor when the collapse happened. Two people who were in the business below, Swirl Penguins ice cream shop, were not injured. A firefighter was treated for glass in his eye.
The man and his dog were nearly killed, but also walked away uninjured.
Investigators are trying to determine if the building is still safe. According to Pittsburgh Public Safety, an official cause has not been determined, but initial reports indicate lightning struck the building.
