Peters H.S. senior charged with over 300 counts of sexual misconduct

A senior at Peters Township High School faces a list of charges after being arrested on sexual abuse of nearly two dozen underage children.

According to court documents, Zachariah Meyers was arrested on Friday for sexual extortion, sex trafficking minors, corruption of minors, unlawful conduct and more.

In total, Meyers is charged with 304 felonies.

The incidents include Meyers allegedly asking one victim to record juveniles in the Peters Township High School Wrestling locker room.

Other charges include sexual exploitation, sexual servitude and sexual abuse.

Meyers was denied bail by Judge Phillippe Melograne in Washington County. “Defendant is deemed a danger to the community and flight risk,” court documents read.

Meyers was ordered to the Washington County Prison.

An online search shows the 18-year-old Meyers was inducted into the National Honor Society in 2024 and is a member of the Peters Township Volleyball team.
