Voted the Best Specialty Food Festival in American for three straight years by USA Today, Picklesburgh will have a new home in 2023.

The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership has announced the annual event will take place on July 21-23 on the Boulevard of the Allies to make room as the event continues to grow every year since the first festival in 2015.

In previous years, the event has taken place on the Rachel Carson Bridge and 10th Street Bypass.

The event features all things pickle, with different foods, pickle-infused alcohol drinks, a pickle juice drinking contest and more.

“Picklesburgh brings tens of thousands to Downtown every year, and those numbers are steadily growing. With the new location and footprint, we want to ensure we continue to DILL-iver the best Picklesburgh experience as possible for all the pickle-loving masses,” said Jeremy Waldrup, president and CEO of the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership. “As a signature event for the city and region, with such a dedicated fan base in Pittsburgh and beyond, we’re excited to see it continue to grow and evolve. So, save the date and get ready for all the fabulous festivities, food and fun this July!”

The festival presented by Kraft-Heinz will also feature the giant Heinz Pickle balloon flying above PPG Place.

The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership says attendance last year increased by nearly 60 percent.
