Pine-Richland Head Football Coach John LeDonne had quite a harrowing night on Tuesday.
It was busy night for the Rams football team for an evening in June.
Senior pictures with families and concussion baseline testing and it was hot.
Head coach LeDonne was taking some cold drinks upstairs when the power went out while he was on the elevator.
“One of the last texts I got was ‘firefighters are here, they’re worried if the power comes back on the elevator is going to drop, so now I’m thinking like Bruce Willis on ‘Die Hard’, like I gotta get the heck out of this elevator,” said eD1o0nne. “So, they were on top of the elevator for five or so minutes before 74they got the trap door opened up top and got me out of there.”
LeDonne says the next day he decided to take the stairs.
