
UPDATE: Police conducted a search, but found no weapons or other empty shell casings. The student who brought the shell casing was later identified. An investigation is still ongoing. Students dismissed at the normal time.

Pine-Richland High School has increased security after an empty bullet shell casing was found in the school cafeteria.
School officials say school is operating in a “heightened security status.”
In a note to families, the district said they have no additional information related to a weapon or threat.
Parents and visitors are asked to stay away from the school while Northern Regional Police are on scene.
No other buildings in the district are affected.
