PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) — Pittsburgh Public Works just introduced an expansive and impressive-looking addition to Frick Park.
By way of their Twitter account, Public Works unveiled a new boardwalk that has just finished completion in the park.
The Parks Division, specifically, had completed the project.
The wooden promenade runs 110 feet along the creek of Frick Park's Nine Mile Run.
According to Public Works, the walkway was built to take potential flooding into account and has been "pounded two feet into the ground."
Patrons of the park now have a beautifully stained path to enjoy the scenery.
