An employee with Pittsburgh International was arrested at the airport Sunday.
TSA says the Wellsville, Ohio man is an airplane cabin cleaner. He was reporting to work Sunday when a TSA agent found a loaded 9mm handgun in his bag.
The gun was confiscated, and the man was arrested on gun charges.
TSA spokesperson Lisa Farbstein said it's concerning considering the employee has access to secure areas of the airport.
"This, we see as a potentially serious situation, because insider threats are real. That is because, these are individuals who have authorized access to sensitive areas of an airport, even the aircraft itself."
It's not clear why the man had the gun at work.
