A Pittsburgh Paramedic Rescue ambulance collided with an SUV Monday afternoon.
It happened at the intersection of Ellsworth Avenue and South Aiken in Shadyside.
Pittsburgh Public Safety said the driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Two paramedics in the ambulance were in stable condition.
There were no patients in the ambulance.
Police are investigating.
