The eating habits of a Point Breeze dog are the subject of worldwide news coverage.
Cecil, his owners say, consumed the better part of $4,000 in cash last month.
Clay Law put an envelope with money for home improvements inside on the kitchen counter.
30 minutes later, Carrie says her husband found Cecil ate most of it.
“Our dog has never done anything like this . . . you could leave a steak on a coffee table and he wouldn’t touch it,” said Carrie.
Carrie said the cash didn't agree with Cecil's stomach, so they eventually recovered and washed the bills for exchange at a bank.
“We ended up recovering, I think, $3,550.
A vet checked the 100-pound dog out and Cecil is doing well.
