A restaurant in Upper St. Clair has been ordered closed by the Allegheny County Health Department.

Istanbul Grille on Painters Run Road was closed earlier this week, according to an inspection report.

The Mediterranean restaurant does not have proper hand washing facilities, no thermometers to temp food, lack of dates on food, no certified safety manger and operating without a valid health permit from the ACHD

In total, Istanbul Grille was hit with 18 violations that ranged from "low risk" to "medium risk".

The inspection was posted on June 19 and as of Thursday is still on the Health Department's website.
