A former City of Pittsburgh resident is facing life in prison and a fine of up to $8 million on drug trafficking charges.
Jarrell Dawson, 31, pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than 40 grams of a heroin and fentanyl mix as well as cocaine.
The U.S. Attorney's Office Western District of Pennsylvania said the charge stemmed from a major investigation conducted by the Greater Pittsburgh Safe Streets Task Force.
Dawson is one of 40 defendants charged.
Sentencing is scheduled for June 24, 2021.
