Pittsburgh Police Chief reportedly threatened after ICE incident in Allentown

Pittsburgh Police Chief Jason Lando is reportedly getting death threats after an incident last week in which three police officers allegedly watched as several persons violently resisted ICE agents trying to detain them near the Zone 3 station in Allentown.

Chief Lando released a statement addressing allegations the officers were ordered not to intervene, saying he was not aware of any order "that forbid them from doing so."

FOP President Bob Swartzwelder told KDKA's Marty Griffin he sent an email to FOP members this morning backing Lando up.

“Usually my phone blows up instantly if I get something wrong, they’ll let me know if that’s accurate or not,” said Swartzwelder. “I have not received any information that that would indicate it what I just stated.”

Chief Lando has asked for a review of the incident, including body and dashboard cam video.
