Pittsburgh Police officer injured after late-night crash in Arlington Heights

A Pittsburgh Police officer was taken to a hospital after a late-night crash in Arlington Heights.

It happened around midnight as the officer was searching for a domestic violence suspect fleeing from police.

Public Safety says the officer lost control of the vehicle, it collided with a utility pole at Arlington Avenue and Josephine Street and the airbags deployed.

The officer was initially unresponsive but regained consciousness and was taken for treatment in stable condition.
