A man is recovering after he was shocked while working on scaffolding in Brookline Thursday afternoon.
Pittsburgh Public Safety says Police, EMS and fire crews responded to Castlegate and Woodbourne Avenues just before 2 p.m. for reports of an unconscious man hanging from scaffolding outside an apartment building.
The male in his 50s reportedly stood up on the scaffolding while he was working and the top of his head hit some power lines, causing him to pass out.
EMS were able to rescue the man using a rope and brought him to safety through an open apartment window.
He was taken to a local hospital alert in serious but stable condition with second-degree burns to the top of his head.
