Another round of winter weather is forecast to come through Southwestern Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh Friday night into the Saturday.

Despite the claims that there are shortages, the City of Pittsburgh says they have salt.

“We have enough salt,” a spokesperson for Mayor Ed Gainey’s office tells KDKA Radio.

“There was an issue with delivery and we have salt delivers today and some more coming (Saturday).”

The salt and mix is effective up to 17 degrees.

With colder temperatures, “the necessary component will be here,” the mayor’s office adds.

40 trucks will be out on city streets beginning at 6 p.m. Friday.

People in other areas can see who plows their road here.

A few inches of snow could fall around the Pittsburgh area.
