Pittsburgh seafood restaurant hit with Consumer Alert

A seafood restaurant on Washington’s Landing has been hit with a Consumer Alert.

The Allegheny County Health Department reported 20 violations during an inspection of Redfin Blues at 100 Waterfront Drive on Thursday.

Four “high-risk violations” were reported.

They include cod and tuna that was thawed in packaging at 54 degrees with “no cut/opening made in the package prior to thawing.” That is a repeat violations.

Also, large amounts of raw seafood, ground beef, cooked chicken, vegetables and other foods were temped between 49 to 54 degrees in refrigerators.

Refrigerated foods must be at 41 degrees or lower.

An employee’s drink as found on a cutting board that was being used and a can opener was found with “old debris” on it.
