Police are investigating after a man attempted to kidnap a juvenile female.

Police say it happened on Wednesday afternoon, just before 4 p.m. at Bedford Dwellings.
The man approached the girl who was walking home and spoke to her.
He then tried to grab the girl by the arm. She was able to get away after stabbing the suspect with a pen.
The man then left the area in a vehicle.
An investigation is ongoing and additional units are patrolling the area.
