PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) The Pittsburgh Police late Friday night responded to reports of shots fired in the Homewood area.
Just after 11:00 p.m. police were called to the 7700 block of Monticello Street.
When officers arrived they found a female victim with a single gunshot wound in the leg/hip area.
She was transported to a hospital in stable condition.
Before being taken to the hospital, she gave information to officers about the incident citing that a male cam from behind buildings towards her and began shooting.
There is an open investigation being run by Violent Crime Detectives.
