Pennsylvania State Police are investigating incidents that took place this morning at Hempfield Area High School.
Parents received a letter from the Hempfield area school district concerning two incidents.
The first incident involved a high school student wearing a gas mask on a school bus.
That student was immediately removed from school property.
The letter said the district became aware of a social media post of the student wearing the gas mask that included text of a threat to the school.
The second incident saw a student walking toward the high school wearing a costume of a hot dog, a wig and face paint.
That student was apprehended, but it put the high school as well as Harrold and Ft Allen schools on lockdown.
The district says there is currently no known threat to any of its schools.
