PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) — Pittsburgh Police reported to a Shotspotter alert for the 1100 block of West North Avenue Sunday morning.
Officers responded to the call at around 2:30 a.m.
At the scene, police found a male gunshot victim in the nearby 1100 block of Sheffield Street.
The victim had been shot in the leg.
The male was in stable condition, however, and was transported to an area hospital.
As for a suspect, he fled the scene in an unknown direction.
An investigation has been opened into the shooting and is underway.
