A North Braddock Police officer exchanged gunfire with a suspect late Tuesday night.
Now, state police are investigating as the search for the suspect continues.
According to a release, North Braddock police responded to a crash on Braddock Avenue just before midnight.
While on scene, a man near the crash allegedly failed to obey commands from an officer.
State police say the suspect ran and fired a gun toward the officer.
The officer fired back, but missed.
Troopers are conducting multiple interviews and reviewing surveillance video to try to find the suspect.
He was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt and red shoes.
