Police setting up DUI checkpoints Super Bowl Sunday

Pittsburgh Police will be conducting roving DUI patrols and setting up sobriety checkpoints across the area on Super Bowl Sunday.

It’s part of PennDOT’s Western Alliance/Team DUI Program.

Patrols will be conducted between the hours of 5 p.m. and 3 a.m.
on February 7 through the early morning of February 8.

“The City of Pittsburgh’s DUI Task Force is committed to reducing the number of DUI- related incidents to ensure safer roads for Pittsburgh residents and visitors all year round,” the city states in a release.

The Western Alliance is made up of the Pittsburgh Police, PA State Police, and other local police departments that conduct DUI checkpoint and patrols across Western Pennsylvania.
