State police in Westmoreland County say they stopped what they're calling a riot in a juvenile detention center over the weekend.

Four teens are being charged as adults for their roles in the destruction.

Police described the situation as utter chaos at the facility in Fairfield Township.

They were called around 7 p.m. on Saturday and say about 20 students were involved in the violent scene.

The damage is estimated to be in the tens of thousands of dollars and Trooper Steve Limani said the four arrested appear to be the ringleaders and they all face several charges including aggravated assault, terroristic threats and a riot.

15-year-olds Lamont Warren, Rocky Magar and Christian White along with 16-year-old Faizon Way are in the county jail.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges could be forthcoming.
