A popular Shadyside cafe is closing.
The owners of Georgie’s Corner Cafe, located at the corner of Walnut Street and Maryland Avenue, posted Thursday morning on Facebook that they have made the difficult decision to close after nearly four years.
Their final day in business will be Sunday, January 18.
“We are honored to have been a part of the Shadyside community,” owners Beth Foley-Saxon and George Saxon wrote in a social media post. “Thank you to our neighbors for being our greatest supporters, we are so grateful for our loyal customers.”
Georgie’s adds they hope the near tenant in the space will help support the community.
