Many Port Authority riders are frustrated that their buses are being delayed and, and in some cases, canceled.

The delays are being caused by driver shortages and staffing issues that have plagued so many businesses in wake of the pandemic.

The Port Authority does try to update it riders on Twitter and on their website but spokesman Adam Brandolph acknowledged to Lynne Hayes-Freeland on NewsRadio KDKA, that changes can be tough on riders.

"Right now we're seeing about a two percent out of service", he says. "Two percent is about two dozen trips everyday. So we aren't able to fill a couple dozen trips everyday, so if you ride one of those trips, obviously you're affected".

The Port Authority is still looking to hire more drivers to solve the driver shortage problem.
