While battling against opponents on the ice, the Penguins are helping to fight another off of it.
Team President David Morehouse announced that PPG Paints Arena would be a new mass COVID-19 vaccination site.
He made the announcement with Rick Dayton on News Radio KDKA Friday afternoon.
Vaccinations at the arena begin Monday, March 15.

Morehouse is hoping for more very soon.
He said another clinic is in the works for Wednesday at the UPMC Lemieux Center in Cranberry.
Registration for Monday's clinic can be found on UPMC's website. Only those registered will receive a vaccine.
