Prantl's Bakery shut down by Allegheny County Health Department

Prantl's Bakery in Squirrel Hill has been shut down by the Allegheny County Health Department.

The department says the bakery had a number of violations including being open and operating without a health permit, improper cold holding of food, failure to sanitize food contact surfaces, lack of hot water and lack of hand washing sinks, among a number of other violations.

The bakery will be closed until corrections are made and the department okays the reopening.
