A group of six Democratic lawmakers, including Representative Chris Deluzio, released a video telling service members to resist what they call illegal orders for attacks on drug boats and sending the National Guard to US cities.
President Donald Trump accused them of sedition punishable by death.
Deluzio spoke with KDKA Radio on Thursday about the President's comments.
"And I will tell you this, I am not going to be intimidated from doing my job. I'm upholding my oath, and I'm not going to let this guy intimidate me for a second," he said.
Deluzio returned to speak with KDKA Radio again Friday morning.
"It's not about me. It's about the country and saying we've had enough of this. And the one person, more than anyone else on planet Earth, who has the power to bring the temperature down is Donald Trump as our president," he said.
