Primanti Bros. beat out over 30 other purely Pennsylvania-made items to win the PA Chamber “Coolest Thing Made in PA” contest.
To celebrate the win, the “Almost Famous” sandwich makers are offering a free beer to customers, 21 and over, on Wednesday, April 5.
They will get one 12 oz. domestic bottle.
Primanti Bros. won 53 percent of the vote in the final matchup against Mrs. T’s Pierogies, out of Schuylkill County.
“We’ve known that Primanti Bros. was the Coolest Thing in PA since 1933 – but we’re glad everyone else knows, too,” said Primanti Bros. CEO Adam Golomb. “While it’s an honor to be recognized as a Champion – it’s even more remarkable to consider all of the iconic brands, businesses and stories that were born of our Commonwealth. Pennsylvania is full of cool things – and we’re excited to be counted among them.”
32 total PA companies competed in the bracket with Primanti Bros. beating out York Barbell, Crayola Crayons, Martin & Co. Guitars and the Altoona-based Sheetz MTO to make it to the final round.
