Commonwealth Court has ruled Pittsburgh's fee imposed on professional athletes and artists is unconstitutional.
The fee absorbs 3 percent of the income earned at PPG Paints Arena, PNC Park and Acrisure Stadium.
In 2019, three athletes, including former Penguin Scott Wilson, sued the city to end the fee.
The NFL, NHL and Major League Baseball players associations also joined in the suit.
