We are just hours away from the ACC Championship game kicking off this weekend in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Pitt Panthers take on Wake Forest in the game, and today Public Safety is gearing up for the watch parties and celebrations.

"We appreciate that this is a big game for Pitt and that many more fans than usual will likely be coming out to support the team and hopefully celebrate a win. However, there will be zero tolerance for property damage or violence of any kind and police will be on high alert for impaired drivers," said Public Safety Director, Wendell Hissrich.

Extra officers will be on patrol tomorrow night, particularly in Oakland, and the South Side entertainment district.

The Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire and Bureau of EMS will also be providing additional resources and personnel on game day.

Public Safety is encouraging fans to enjoy themselves, but to do so responsibly.
