It could be a messy commute Tuesday morning, but it isn’t expected to be a major weather event.
With temperatures 13 degrees above average so far this February, winter returns overnight with rain and snow.
The rain will start overnight and as colder air moves in through the overnight hours that will turn over to snow.
The National Weather Service says there is a low chance of one to three inches of snow with a half of an inch total likely through Tuesday afternoon.
Even with the low snow amounts, the timing of rain switching over to snow could make for a tricky morning commute.
NWS say conditions should improve after 8 a.m.
