Pine Richland has fired their head football coach.
Eric Kasperowicz, along with his entire coaching staff, were notified Wednesday night via email that their contracts wouldn't be renewed.
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette high school sports writer Mike White joined the Marty Griffin Show to explain the situation. However, he even admitted that he believes that there will be more details to come out of this decision.
"There are many many chapters to this story that are to be written over the next coming days and weeks," White said. "This is far from over."
White mentioned on the show that there was an investigation into an alleged hazing incidents. The investigation involved calling current and former players asking if they had any knowledge about any incidents they knew about.
White also added he doesn't think Kasperowicz is going to go down quietly.
"I don't think he is going to take this, and neither are his assistants, sitting down and going quietly, without saying 'this isn't over yet,'" White said.
Thursday morning Kasperowicz responded through his attorney with a statement.
In the statement, Kasperowicz says he is “disappointed” by the decision and that no hazing took place and if he was told of any incidents he took care of them immediately.
