PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) A recount has concluded and Dr. Mehmet Oz has won the Pennsylvania Republican U.S. Senate primary.
Dr. Oz defeated hedge fund CEO David McCormick by just under 1,000 votes, after a multi-day long recount of votes.
Dr. Oz will now face off against Democratic nominee Lt. Gov.
John Fetterman.
The winner of that race could help swing a closely divided senate in Washington.
More than 1.3 million votes were cast and the 951 votes dropped by 21 votes from the original count.
Dr. Oz tweeted on June 3rd that he had received a call from McCormick pledging his support over the next five months.
