A restaurant in the Pittsburgh area was ruled ‘out of compliance’ after an inspection recently by state officials.
The PA Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety says the Burgatory location on Blue Spruce Way in Murrysville had several violations after the inspection on August 7.
Some of the violations include an employee seen handling raw beef with gloved hands and then continuing to handle ready-to-eat foods, including chips, cheese and buns without taking the gloves off or washing their hands.
Inspectors also noticed other issues with lack of handwashing.
The ambient air temperature of a walk-in cooler was found to be between 46 and 47 degrees. Items were moved to another cooler that was working properly. Other food items measured at 44-45 degrees were thrown away.
Also, pooling and standing water were found on floors throughout the kitchen.

The Murrysville location is the only Burgatory currently ruled ‘Out of Compliance’.
