Police offer reward in 35-year-old unsolved Greensburg homicide

State Police are offering a $5,000 reward for information that helps solve a 35-year-old cold case.

PA State Troopers in Greensburg continue to investigate the homicide of Deborah Waggoner, who was strangled in the early morning hours of April 19, 1990.

Police say at the time of the homicide, the 25-year-old was living with her boyfriend and mother on Acorn Drive in South Greensburg and working as an assistant manager at a RAX fast food restaurant.

On the evening of April 18, Waggoner left her home to get her boyfriend cigarettes and to wash her car.

The operator of the carwash told police he saw her vacuuming her car along as he was locking up for the night.

The next day, police saw her car in the same spot from the night before. Waggoner’s body was then discovered.
