A Pittsburgh restaurant owner has been arrested on domestic violence charges.
Richard DeShantz, owner of several popular dining spots including Meat & Potatoes and Coop de Ville, was arrested on misdemeanor counts of simple assault and strangulation.
According to the criminal complaint, an intoxicated DeShantz allegedly punched a woman in the face. slammed her head against the steering wheel of a vehicle, and choked her during an argument that after she picked him up from a bar.
DeShantz was detained and released on $10,000 bail.
