The minimum wage for non-tipped employees at Rivers Casino Pittsburgh is increasing to $15 an hour.

The casino made the announcement Friday.

"We believe that paying a living wage is more than a recruitment strategy—it's the right thing to do," said Greg Carlin, CEO of Rivers Casino and Rush Street Gaming. "Our Team Members are committed to our success each and every day. This is just another way we return that commitment."

The wage increase is property-wide and also applies to Rivers Casino Philadelphia.

The casino says employees who are paid an hourly rate plus tips already make about $15 an hour.

With benefits, Rivers says the value of the $15 an hour wage becomes valued at about $25 an hour.

"We're proud to be an employer of choice in casino gaming," said Bud Green, assistant general manager of Rivers Casino Pittsburgh. "We offer job candidates family-sustaining wages, great benefits, and a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace culture." Green has been with Rush Street for over a decade.
