Rochester football player that suffered brain bleed during game recovering

There's new information about a high school football player hospitalized after collapsing on the sidelines during the Rochester-Shenango game on Friday night.

Carter Mason's family says he had a brain bleed after a severe hit on the field during the game at Shenango.

Carter too a severe hit to the helmet during the game. After the hit, he walked to the sideline and then collapsed.

He was taken to a hospital via medical helicopter.

Carter, who has been treated for concussions in the past, is breathing on his own and making progress in recovery.

The family adds, “Carter has talked just a little since (Saturday) night. He seems like he’s trying to come back into reality.”
