Guests can expect an updated wave pool, boardwalk and mushroom pool, along with a brand-new water slide. Bombs Away is a high-altitude, free-fall body slide that will open this summer.

The park will have an expanded schedule, with a number of new events.

“Guests will be stunned when they see the all-new look of our world-class water park this year,” says Ricky Spicuzza, Sandcastle’s Assistant General Manager.

“This began last season with the improvements to the park’s appearance, new food and beverage offerings, and new Jammin’ July special event. We are now building upon those successful changes this year and offering a brand-new Sandcastle experience unlike anything the Steel City has ever seen before.”

A new lineup of special events will highlight the new park’s amenities. From June 4-June 26, Out of School, Into the Pool will take place. On top of Jammin’ July, the Food and Cocktail Frenzy begins on August 5th to highlight local breweries and food trucks.

Between August 26th and September 16th, the Friday Night Swim Under the Lights commences, which is an all-new event for Sandcastle.
