It appears the Woodland Hills school board will consider a change in leadership at their next meeting.
According to an agenda posted to the district's website, the school board will discuss a motion to remove superintendent James Harris without cause at a legislative meeting Wednesday evening.
Harris told News Radio KDKA the school board president, vice president and solicitor requested he resign in a meeting Tuesday. He said they did not give a reason why other than they wanted to go in a different direction.
"I was really surprised at the request," he said. "I've never received a written reprimand or verbal. I received three positive evaluations since I've been here.
Harris spoke with KDKA Radio's Robert Mangino this afternoon to share his thoughts on the situation. You can listen to it here:

The motion on the agenda did not list a reason why board members would like to terminate Harris, but the district has been dealing with an outburst of fighting and threats at the high school.
Harris said they've worked to address the issues, but many kids are suffering from trauma because of the last year and a half.
"We were not prepared, like many districts, in handling a lot of the mental health conditions of our student population when they returned," he said. "This was not anticipated."
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday and can be watched online.
