The Beaver County Humane Society is looking for a medical foster family that can help care for a severely malnourished dog found in Ohioville.
Alison Yazer, Executive Director of the Humane Society tells KDKA Radio that Xena is about a year old and is a Shepard mix. They don’t know if Xena was abandoned or was a stray.
She says they need a medical foster parent because Xena is on a very strict diet and needs to be fed at a specific time and with specific food.
Other than being malnourished, Xena is in good health and will be put up for adoption when she is health again.
Yazer says that Xena has put on a little bit of weight since she was taken in but still has long way to go.
